artist statement
My art is a reflection of my colorful spirit. I make art to express myself through visual means. It is a way to celebrate my ideas both publicly and privately. I utilize different mediums depending on the subject and intention, skillful in painting, photography, sculpture, drawing, and digital media. My art emotionally translates through the brush, lens or keyboard my feelings, thoughts, creativity, and inner workings. I am an advocate for social empowerment and an experienced art counselor and mentor for children. My art demonstrates awakening joy and celebrating life in all its wonders. I judge my work to be successful when it resonates on intellectual and emotional levels and it opens a door for friendship and sparks enthusiasm for life.
